French toast with Big Macs
Components:
- Two thick bread slices (brioche or Texas toast work great)
One egg - 1/4 cup of milk
- One tablespoon of mayonnaise
- One teaspoon of mustard
- One teaspoon of ketchup
- One piece of cheddar cheese
- One piece of American cheese
- Two slices of pickles
- To taste, add salt and pepper.
- Cooking with butter
Directions:
- To make the egg mixture, whisk the egg, milk, salt, and pepper in a small basin.
- Prepare the Sauce: Combine the ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise in a separate bowl. Put aside.
- Dip the Bread: Put butter in a pan over medium heat. Make sure to coat both sides of each bread slice by dipping it into the egg mixture.
- Cook the Bread: Put the bread in the skillet and cook it for two to three minutes on each side, or until golden brown on both sides.
- Assemble: Spread the sauce on one piece of French toast, then top with the pickles, cheddar cheese, and the second piece of toast. Drizzle additional sauce over the American cheese.
- Melt the Cheese: To aid in the melting of the cheese, cover the skillet for a minute or two.
- To serve, cut in half and warm.
