fresh and Tasty Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
½ cup sugar (brown or white)
1 egg
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
Optional: ¼ cup chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or raisins
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugar together in a bowl until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.
In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips, nuts, or raisins (optional).
Scoop small balls of dough onto the baking tray, leaving space between each cookie.
Bake for 8–10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
Cool on a wire rack for a few minutes — then enjoy warm, soft, and fresh cookies!
Tips
For extra chewy cookies, slightly undertake them.
You can replace butter with coconut oil for a dairy-free version.
Store cookies in an airtight jar for up to 5 days.
