Thick cabbage slices are roasted until caramelized and tender, then topped with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese for a rich, melt-in-your-mouth experience. Ingredients

For the Cabbage:

1 large green cabbage (cut into 1.5-inch thick rounds)

3 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp paprika (optional, for extra depth)

For the Garlic & Topping:

4 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic (minced)

1 tsp Italian seasoning (or a mix of thyme and oregano)

½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Cabbage

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Slice cabbage into 1.5-inch thick rounds (do not separate the leaves).

2. Season & Roast

3. Place cabbage slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

4. Drizzle olive oil over each slice and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and paprika.

5. Roast for 25 minutes until the edges are slightly crisp.

3. Add Garlic  & Parmesan

6. In a bowl, mix olive oil minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.

7. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the cabbage slices.

8. Sprinkle each slice with grated Parmesan cheese.

4. Final Roast & Serve

9. Return to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
