Ingredients
For the Beef Filling
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 tbsp oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp taco seasoning (or homemade)
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
¼ cup water
For the Burrito Assembly
4 large flour tortillas
1 cup cooked rice (optional but recommended)
1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese (inside)
1 cup mozzarella or cheddar (for grilling outside)
½ cup sour cream
½ cup nacho cheese sauce (optional)
1 cup shredded lettuce
½ cup chopped tomatoes
½ cup cooked beans (black beans or refried beans)
Instructions
Cook the Beef
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add onion and sauté until softened.
Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
Mix in taco seasoning, paprika, salt, pepper, and water.
Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare the Burrito Fillings
Warm the tortillas slightly so they don’t tear while folding.
Have the rice, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, and beans ready.
Assemble the Burritos
For each tortilla:
Spread a spoon of sour cream or nacho cheese in the center.
Add a layer of rice.
Add the seasoned beef.
Add beans.
Add shredded lettuce and tomatoes.
Sprinkle a generous amount of cheese.
Fold the sides inward and roll into a tight burrito.
Grill the Cheese on the Outside
Heat a nonstick pan on medium heat.
Sprinkle ¼ cup shredded cheese directly onto the pan in a rectangle shape.
Place the burrito seam-side down on top of the cheese.
Cook until the cheese melts, sticks to the tortilla, and becomes golden and crispy (2–3 minutes).
Flip and lightly toast the other side for 1 minute.
Repeat for all burritos.
Serve
Slice in half for a gooey, cheesy bite.
Serve with salsa, sour cream, or creamy jalapeño dip.

Add crushed nacho chips inside for crunch.
