Ingredients
For the Dough:
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
For the Filling:
- 1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or your choice of toppings)
- 1/2 cup bell peppers, diced (optional)
- 1/4 cup black olives, sliced (optional)
For the Skull Shape:
- A skull-shaped cookie cutter (or a regular round one to create a spooky shape)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare the Dough:
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Use the skull-shaped cookie cutter to cut out skull shapes from the dough.
- Fill the Skulls:
- Place half of the skull shapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on each skull, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, followed by your choice of toppings. Leave a little space at the edges.
- Top with Dough:
- Place the remaining skull shapes on top of the filled ones and gently press the edges to seal. You can use a fork to crimp the edges for a better seal.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. You can serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping!
Enjoy!
