Halloween Pizza Skulls

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or your choice of toppings)
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, diced (optional)
  • 1/4 cup black olives, sliced (optional)

For the Skull Shape:

  • A skull-shaped cookie cutter (or a regular round one to create a spooky shape)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the Dough:
    • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Use the skull-shaped cookie cutter to cut out skull shapes from the dough.
  3. Fill the Skulls:
    • Place half of the skull shapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on each skull, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, followed by your choice of toppings. Leave a little space at the edges.
  4. Top with Dough:
    • Place the remaining skull shapes on top of the filled ones and gently press the edges to seal. You can use a fork to crimp the edges for a better seal.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Cool and Serve:
    • Allow to cool slightly before serving. You can serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping!

Enjoy!

These Halloween Pizza Skulls are a fun twist on traditional pizza, perfect for a spooky-themed party! Feel free to customize the fillings to your liking!
