Ingredients
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
1/3 cup applesauce
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup melted coconut oil
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Optional Add-Ins
Chopped nuts or dried fruit
Directions
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
Combine oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
Whisk honey, applesauce, egg, vanilla, and coconut oil in another bowl.
Mix wet and dry ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips.
Spread into the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Cool completely before slicing.
