Heavenly Pineapple Cheeseball
Components:
Regarding the Cheeseball:
- 8 ounces of softened cream cheese
- Half a cup of softened butter
- One cup of powdered sugar
- Half a teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp of optional but delicious almond extract
- One 8-ounce can of crushed pineapple that has been well drained (you can use fresh pineapple if you want)
- One cup of walnuts or pecans, chopped finely (for coating)
Regarding the optional garnish:
- Additional chopped walnuts or pecans
- Maraschino cherries or pineapple pieces (for decorating)
Directions:
First, get the cheeseball ready.
Mix the butter and cream cheese together:
Put the butter and the softened cream cheese in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Beat them together with a whisk or an electric mixer until they are creamy and smooth.
Add the extracts and sugar:
To the cream cheese mixture, add the powdered sugar, almond extract (if using), and vanilla extract. Keep beating until everything is smooth and properly combined.
Add the Pineapple: Add the crushed pineapple that has been drained. To prevent too much moisture from making the cheeseball too runny, make sure you drain the pineapple completely. Any residual moisture can be blotted using a paper towel.
Second, form the cheeseball.
Create the Ball:
After the dough is thoroughly mixed, form it into a ball with your hands or a spatula. To assist mold it if it’s too sticky, lightly coat your hands with butter or oil.
Coat the cheeseball in step three.
Add Chopped Nuts: On a big platter or shallow dish, distribute the chopped pecans (or walnuts) and roll them in. To ensure uniform coating, gently roll the cheeseball in the nuts and press lightly. This will give it a lovely crunchy texture and provide the creamy filling a fantastic flavor contrast.
Step 4: Refrigerate the Cheeseball: After the cheeseball has been completely covered, put it on a serving tray and wrap it in plastic wrap. Put in the fridge for at least two hours, or better yet, overnight. This enables the cheeseball to solidify and aids in the blending of tastes.
Step 5: Present the garnish (if desired):
For a fun tropical touch, you can add some chopped pecans or walnuts to the cheeseball before serving, along with some pineapple pieces or maraschino cherries.
Have fun:
Serve your Pineapple Cheeseball from Heaven with sliced fruit, pretzels, graham crackers, or crackers. It’s ideal for family get-togethers, holiday parties, or any other event where you want to wow your visitors with a delectable and sweet treat.
Advice:
Drain the Pineapple Thoroughly: To prevent too much liquid from making the cheeseball too soft or mushy, make sure the pineapple is thoroughly drained. You can press the pineapple between paper towels to extract additional moisture if you prefer a harder cheeseball.
Nut Variations: You can use walnuts, almonds, or even pecans for the coating if you’d rather use a different nut.
Prepare Ahead: This cheeseball is a fantastic way to prepare ahead of time! Make it the day before, put it in the fridge, and when your guests arrive, it will be ready to serve.
Perfect for any event, this Pineapple Cheeseball from Heaven is a delightful treat that is sweet, creamy, and nutty. Have fun!
