Honey Garlic Glazed Chicken recipe 🍗✨

Ingredients:
For the chicken:
  1. – 1.5 lbs chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  2. – 2 tablespoons olive oil
  3. – 1/2 teaspoon salt
  4. – 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  5. – 4 celery stalks, cut diagonally
For the glaze:
  1. – 1/3 cup honey
  2. – 4 cloves garlic, minced
  3. – 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  4. – 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  5. – 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  6. – 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  7. – 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  8. – 2 tablespoons water
For garnish:
  1. – 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  2. – 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  3. – Red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions:

1. Get the chicken ready:
Use paper towels to pat the chicken pieces dry.

Season with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until golden brown.
2. Prepare the glaze:
Mix together honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
Create a slurry by mixing cornstarch and water. Then, add black pepper and stir thoroughly.
3. Prepare the celery:
Cook the celery in the pan with the chicken for two to three minutes, or until it is crisp but not quite soft. Then, remove and put aside.
4. Complete the dish:
Cover the chicken with the glaze mixture and simmer for three to four minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
Place the celery back in the pan and toss to evenly coat everything.
5. Offer:
Add red pepper flakes if you’d like. Garnish with sliced green onions. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
