1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 cup cornstarch (for light coating)
2 tbsp oil (for pan-frying)
For the Honey Lemon Sauce:
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
1 tsp lemon zest
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (slurry to thicken)
Optional: 1 clove garlic, minced or grated ginger for extra depth
Instructions:
Prep the chicken:
Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Toss in cornstarch until lightly coated.
Cook the chicken:
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook chicken in batches until golden and cooked through (about 4–6 minutes). Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, combine honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, soy sauce, and garlic/ginger if using.
Bring to a simmer, then add the cornstarch slurry.
Stir until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.

Return the cooked chicken to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes to fully absorb flavor.
Serve with:
Steamed jasmine or basmati rice
Stir-fried vegetables
Noodles or lettuce wraps
Variations:
Make it spicy with chili flakes or sriracha
Use tofu or cauliflower instead of chicken for a vegetarian option
Add broccoli or snap peas directly to the pan for a one-pan meal
