Ingredients
- Two large russet potatoes, each weighing roughly 8 to 12 ounces
- Two tablespoons of avocado oil
- One tablespoon of powdered arrowroot
- One teaspoon of powdered garlic
- Half a teaspoon of onion powder
- Half a teaspoon of paprika, smoked
- Half a teaspoon of sea salt
- Half a teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS
- Cut potatoes: Give them a good wash. Depending on the thickness and form of the potato, cut each half in half lengthwise and then into four to five wedges. For example, look at the pictures above. Put chopped potatoes in a medium-sized basin.
- If you want to soak the potatoes, put them in a bowl with cold water and let them soak for at least 20 minutes. If you don’t have time, you may skip it, although it will help make the edges of the wedges crispier. Drain the liquid after 20 minutes and pat your wedges dry with a paper towel.
- To prepare the wedges, combine the other ingredients in a bowl with the potato wedges. These components include smoked paprika, arrowroot powder, garlic powder, onion powder, avocado oil, sea salt, and black pepper. Coat the potato wedges completely by using tongs to mix the arrowroot with the oil and spices after it has been entirely soaked up.
- Air fried wedges: As much as possible, arrange the wedges in a single layer within your air fryer. You might need to do this in batches if your air fryer is smaller. After 10 minutes, rotate the wedges to make sure none are stuck together, then air fry for 15 to 20 minutes at 380 degrees Fahrenheit. When the potato wedges are gorgeous and golden brown, take them out of the air fryer. Serve as an accompaniment to any meal of the day, accompanied by ranch and ketchup.
