Lazy Girl Pie Bars with Pecans
Components:
Regarding the Crust:
- One and a half cups of crumbled digestive biscuits or graham cracker crumbs
- One-third cup of sugar
- Half a cup of melted unsalted butter
Regarding the Filling:
- One cup of maple syrup or light corn syrup
- One cup of packed brown sugar
- Four big eggs
- One teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Two cups of chopped pecans
- One-fourth teaspoon of salt
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
- Set the oven’s temperature to 350°F (175°C). To make cleanup easier, grease a 9 x 13-inch baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
Prepare the crust:
- Put the sugar, melted butter, and graham cracker crumbs in a bowl. Stir until thoroughly blended.
- To create a uniform layer, firmly press the mixture into the bottom of the baking pan that has been prepared.
Get the filling ready:
- Combine the eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt in a large bowl and whisk until smooth.
- Add the chopped pecans and stir.
Put together:
- Evenly distribute the filling after pouring it over the crust.
Bake:
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in a preheated oven, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden and the filling is set.
Awesome:
- Before slicing the bars into squares, let them cool in the pan for approximately an hour and then move them to the refrigerator to chill for at least an additional hour.
Serve:
- Cut into bars and serve. These taste great by themselves or with a dollop of vanilla ice cream!
