Ingredients (Makes 6 muffins):

For the Muffin Batter:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tsp vinegar)

1 egg

2 tablespoons melted butter or oil

2 tablespoons maple syrup (plus extra for serving)

For the Filling:

1/2 cup cooked breakfast sausage (crumbled or in small patties)

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Optional: small cooked scrambled egg bits (chopped finely)

Air Fryer Timing & Temp:

Temp: 330°F (165°C)

Cook Time: 10–12 minutes

Tools:

Silicone muffin cups or air fryer-safe ramekins

Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Instructions:

Preheat Air Fryer:

Preheat air fryer to 330°F (165°C) for about 3–5 minutes.

Make the Batter:

In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and maple syrup.

Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed (don’t overmix).

Prepare Muffin Cups:

Lightly grease silicone muffin cups.

Spoon 1 tablespoon of batter into the bottom of each cup.

Add Fillings:
