Components:

  1. Twelve ounces of pasta
  2. One pound of Italian sausage or ground beef
  3. One little onion, chopped
  4. Two minced garlic cloves
  5. 24 ounces of your preferred brand of marinara sauce
  6. One teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  7. To taste, add salt and pepper.
  8. One cup of cottage cheese
  9. Ricotta cheese, one cup
  10. Two cups of mozzarella cheese, shredded
  11. Half a cup of Parmesan cheese, grated
  12. One tablespoon of freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Directions:

First, prepare the spaghetti.

  • Set the oven temperature to 175°C (350°F).
  • As directed on the package, cook the spaghetti in a big pot of boiling salted water until it is al dente. After draining, set away.

Step 2: Get the meat sauce ready.

  • Use a spatula to break up the ground beef (or Italian sausage) after it has been cooked in a large skillet over medium heat. If needed, drain extra fat.
  • To the skillet, add the minced garlic and chopped onion. The onion should be transparent after 3–4 minutes of sautéing.
  • Add the marinara sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Give the sauce five minutes or so to simmer.

Mix the cheese filling in step three.

  • Combine half of the mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, and cottage cheese in a mixing bowl. Stir until thoroughly blended. This will be the casserole’s layer of creamy cheese.

Step 4: Put the Casserole Together

  • Line the bottom of a large (9 x 13-inch) baking dish with half of the cooked spaghetti.
  • Cover the spaghetti with half of the meat sauce and then half of the cheese mixture. With the remaining spaghetti, meat sauce, and cheese mixture, repeat the layering process.
  • Place the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of the dish and garnish with grated Parmesan cheese.

Bake the casserole in step five.

  • After lining the baking dish with aluminum foil, bake it for half an hour in a preheated oven.
  • After 30 minutes, take off the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbling.

Step 6: Offer

  • After baking, take the casserole out of the oven and allow it to cool for five to ten minutes. The layers will set more easily as a result.
  • Before serving, garnish with freshly cut parsley. Savor it with garlic bread or a side salad!
