Mouthwatering Apple Pie with Dreamy Soufflé Cream

Dough (20 cm diameter):

– 250g flour 🍞
– 1 tsp baking powder 🧁
– 90g butter 🧈
– A pinch of salt 🧂
– 2 egg yolks 🥚🥚
– 40g sugar 🍯

Apple Layer:

– 2 apples (~400g) 🍏🍏
– 40g sugar 🍬
– 4-5 tbsp lemon juice 🍋

Creamy Soufflé:

– 2 egg whites 🥚🥚
– 40g sugar 🍚
– 1 tsp vanilla sugar 🍦
– 400g natural yogurt (or sour cream) 🥄
– 40g cornstarch 🌽

Instructions:

1. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter.
2. Add egg yolks and sugar, mix until dough forms.
3. Press dough into a 20cm pan.
4. Layer sliced apples, sugar, and lemon juice on top.
5. Whisk egg whites, sugar, and vanilla sugar until stiff peaks.
6. Combine yogurt (or sour cream) with cornstarch, then fold in the egg white mixture.
7. Pour the soufflé cream over apples.
8. Bake at 170°C (338°F) for 40-45 mins.
