Natural Steam Iron Cleaning: A Do-It-Yourself Sparkle and Shine Project
Required Materials:
- Lemon
- Baking soda
- White vinegar
- A sponge or a soft cloth
- Water:
Instructions
1. Make the cleaning solution by combining equal parts vinegar and water, then adding enough baking soda to create a paste and a tablespoon of lemon juice.
2. Apply the Mixture: After making sure the iron is cool, use a gentle cloth to apply the paste to the iron’s plate, being careful not to get any steam holes in it.
3. Wipe Off: Use a moist towel to wipe off after letting it sit for a few minutes. To remove any residue from the steam holes, use a cotton swab.
4. Steam Clean: Pour equal amounts of water and vinegar into the iron’s reservoir. After emptying the iron and steam, replace it with fresh water and steam.
5. Final Wipe: Make sure there is no residue left on the iron.
