 Ingredients:

For the Rice Krispy Base:

4 cups Rice Krispies cereal

5 cups mini marshmallows (or 40 regular-sized marshmallows)

4 tbsp unsalted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

¼ tsp salt (optional)

For the Chocolate Topping:

1 ½ cups semisweet or milk chocolate chips

1 tbsp coconut oil or butter (for a smoother texture)

 Instructions:

 Melt the Marshmallows

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.

Add the marshmallows and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth.

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.

 Mix with Rice Krispies

Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until fully coated with the melted marshmallow mixture.

 Transfer to a Pan

Line an 8×8 or 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.

Press the Rice Krispy mixture evenly into the pan using a spatula (or lightly greased hands).

 Make the Chocolate Topping

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.

Pour the melted chocolate over the Rice Krispie layer and spread evenly.

 Set and Serve

Let the bars cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes (or refrigerate for 15 minutes for faster setting).

Once firm, cut into squares and enjoy!

 Tips & Tricks:

Use Fresh Marshmallows – Older marshmallows won’t melt as smoothly.

Don’t Overheat the Marshmallows – Keep the heat low to prevent hard treats.

Lightly Grease Your Hands – If pressing the mixture into the pan is sticky, rub a little butter or oil on your hands.

For a Thicker Chocolate Layer – Double the chocolate topping ingredients.

Add Toppings – Sprinkle sea salt, chopped nuts, or sprinkles on top before the chocolate sets.
