Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) – 3 minutes
Cook time: 18–20 minutes (stirring halfway)
Total time: ~30 minutes (including prep)
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced into strips or bite-sized pieces)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Buttered Noodles:
2 cups egg noodles (or any small pasta)
1 ½ cups chicken broth (or water + bouillon)
2 tbsp butter
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: chopped parsley or parmesan for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:
In a bowl, toss chicken strips with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Let it marinate for 5–10 minutes while you prep the noodles.
Assemble in a Baking Dish:
Use an oven-safe dish or cake pan that fits your air fryer basket.
Add uncooked egg noodles to the dish.
Pour in the chicken broth.
Place the seasoned chicken evenly on top of the noodles.
Dot with 1 tbsp of butter (reserve the other 1 tbsp for after cooking).
Air Fry – Phase 1:
Carefully place the dish in your preheated air fryer at 375°F (190°C).
Air fry for 10 minutes.
Stir & Continue Cooking:
Open the air fryer and gently stir the noodles and chicken to redistribute moisture.
Add a splash of broth if the noodles look dry.
Air fry for another 8–10 minutes, or until noodles are tender and chicken is cooked through (internal temp should reach 165°F or 74°C).
Finish with Butter & Seasoning:
Once cooked, add the remaining 1 tbsp of butter and a sprinkle of garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Stir gently to coat the noodles and chicken.
Garnish & Serve:
Top with fresh parsley and/or grated parmesan (optional).
Serve hot and enjoy!
Tips:
If using thicker pasta, soak it in hot water for 10 minutes before adding to reduce cooking time.
Add frozen peas or spinach halfway through for a veggie boost.
For extra flavor, use herb butter instead of plain butter.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve with a light side salad or garlic bread.
For a creamier version, stir in 2 tbsp cream cheese at the end!
