Orange Fluff Cake

What You Need:

  1. Three tablespoons of orange zest
  2.  Six egg whites
  3. 6 egg whites
  4. Half a teaspoon of baking powder
  5. 1 and 1/2 cups of cake flour
  6. 1 dessert cup of sugar
  7. Half a teaspoon of tartare sauce
  8. “A half teaspoon of salt”
  9. 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  10. One cup of white sugar
  11. 1/3 cup of unsweetened orange juice
  12. soft butter, measuring 5 tablespoons

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, beat the butter and white sugar until light and fluffy. Whisk in each egg yolk separately to combine all of them.
  • In a separate dish, whisk together the egg whites and tartar cream until stiff peaks form.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt for the cake. Slowly stir in the flour mixture, adding the fresh orange juice in between each addition to the butter mixture. Stir thoroughly.
  • Fold in the egg whites after gently folding in the orange peel.
  • Using a spoon, level the top of the cake pan after spooning the batter into it.
  • Place a toothpick in the center of the cake to check its doneness, and then bake it in a preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
  • Ten minutes later, take the cake out of the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Dust the cake with powdered sugar before serving.
