Oven-Baked Mozzarella Sticks with Marinara Dipping Sauce

Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside – these oven-baked mozzarella sticks are a lighter take on a classic favorite! Perfect for snacking, parties, or just a cheesy treat!

Ingredients

12 mozzarella string cheese sticks (cut in half)

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

½ cup Italian-style breadcrumbs

2 eggs

2 tbsp milk

½ cup flour

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried oregano

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

Cut each mozzarella stick in half and freeze for at least 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs and milk, and one with mixed breadcrumbs, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.

Dip each frozen cheese stick into the flour, then the egg mixture, then the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat for an extra crispy coating.

Place on the baking sheet and lightly spray with cooking oil.

Bake for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.

Serve hot with marinara sauce and enjoy!

Tip: For extra crunch, broil for the last 1–2 minutes, watching closely to prevent melting!
