Peanut butter balls for Christmas
Ingredients
For the Filling with Peanut Butter:
- One cup of peanut butter that is creamy
- Half a cup of softened unsalted butter
- Two cups of powdered sugar
- One teaspoon of vanilla extract
- One-fourth teaspoon of salt
Regarding the Coating:
- Two cups of milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips
- One tablespoon of optional vegetable oil for smoothness
- Crushed candy canes or sprinkles (optional; for decorating)
Directions
Prepare the filling.
- Put the peanut butter, softened butter, salt, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing dish. Blend until fully blended and smooth.
- To make the mixture hard enough to handle, add a bit more powdered sugar if it’s too mushy.
Create the Balls:
- Form the peanut butter mixture into tiny, one-inch-diameter balls. Put them on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
- To firm up, place all of the formed balls in the refrigerator for around half an hour.
Melt the chocolate.
- Put the chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a bowl that is safe to use in the microwave. Stirring occasionally, heat for 30 seconds at a time until melted and smooth.
Coat the balls of peanut butter:
- Using a fork, remove each cooled peanut butter ball after dipping it into the melted chocolate. Let the extra chocolate fall off.
- Return the coated balls to the baking sheet covered with paper.
Decorate:
- If desired, garnish with crushed candy canes or sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
Calm down:
- Put the peanut butter balls covered in chocolate in the refrigerator for about half an hour, or until the chocolate has set.
Serve:
- Savor your festive balls of peanut butter! For up to two weeks, keep them in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
Advice:
- For a distinct taste, you can use dark or white chocolate.
- You are welcome to alter the décor to fit the festive theme!
Enjoy creating and distributing these delectable peanut butter balls for Christmas!
