Peanut Butter Blossom Bars (Air Fryer Recipe)
Introduction:
These Peanut Butter Blossom Bars deliver the nostalgic flavor of the beloved holiday cookie in a soft, chewy bar form—perfect for sharing and easier to make in batches. The air fryer makes them quick to bake with a golden edge and gooey center. Each square is crowned with a milk chocolate kiss for that classic touch.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 12–15 minutes (per batch)
Cool Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: ~35 minutes
Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
9–12 milk chocolate kisses (unwrapped)
Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes).
Add egg and vanilla extract; beat until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.
Shape and Pan:
Line a 7-inch square or round air fryer-safe baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
Air Fry:
Preheat air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the pan in the air fryer basket.
Bake at 320°F (160°C) for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick comes out mostly clean (some moisture is okay; it sets as it cools).
Add Chocolate Kisses:
Immediately after removing from the air fryer, gently press chocolate kisses into the top of the warm bars—either spaced evenly or one per square if pre-slicing.
Cool and Slice:
Let the bars cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes to firm up.
Lift out with parchment (if used) and cut into squares.
Variations:
Use mini peanut butter cups instead of kisses.
Add a swirl of Nutella before baking for a marble effect.
Add chopped peanuts for crunch.
Tips:
Do not overbake! The bars firm up as they cool.
Store in an airtight container at room temp for up to 5 days.
For smaller air fryers, you can divide dough and bake in batches.
