Philly Cheese Steak Crescent Ring
Intro
This Philly Cheese Steak Crescent Ring is the perfect party food or family dinner centerpiece. It takes the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak—thinly sliced beef, sautéed onions and peppers, and gooey melted cheese—and wraps them inside buttery crescent roll dough shaped into a ring. It’s easy to make, looks impressive, and is both crispy on the outside and melty on the inside. Serve it with warm cheese sauce or a side salad for a complete meal. Perfect for game nights, potlucks, or when you want to wow guests with minimal effort.

Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
1 lb (450 g) thinly sliced steak (ribeye, sirloin, or deli-style roast beef)
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tubes (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
8 slices provolone cheese (or mozzarella/cheddar)
2 tbsp melted butter (optional, for brushing)
1 tsp sesame seeds or Italian seasoning (optional garnish)
Instructions
Cook the Filling
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add onions and peppers; sauté for 5–6 minutes until softened.
Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
Stir in thinly sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3–4 minutes until beef is browned but still tender.
Remove from heat and let mixture cool slightly.
Prepare the Crescent Ring
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
On a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange crescent roll triangles in a circle with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points facing outward (like a sunburst).
Place half of the cheese slices around the base of the crescent dough.
Add the Filling
Spoon the beef, onions, and peppers mixture evenly over the cheese.
Top with the remaining cheese slices.
Fold the pointed ends of the crescent dough over the filling and tuck them underneath to form a ring.
Bake
Brush the top with melted butter (optional) and sprinkle with sesame seeds or Italian seasoning.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with a warm cheese sauce or au jus for dipping.
Add a side of crispy fries or onion rings for a hearty meal.
Pair with a fresh green salad for balance.
Quick Tip: For extra cheesiness, sprinkle shredded mozzarella or cheddar over the filling before folding the crescent dough.
