Philly Cheesesteak Pasta (Air Fryer Recipe)

This Philly Cheesesteak Pasta combines tender pasta, savory ground or shaved beef, sautéed onions and peppers, and loads of melted cheese—all baked together in the air fryer. It’s creamy, indulgent, and takes minimal effort for maximum flavor. Perfect for when you want cheesesteak vibes with pasta comfort.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Pre-cook Time (stovetop): 10 minutes

Air Fryer Bake Time: 10–12 minutes

Total Time: ~35 minutes

Ingredients: (Serves 4)

For the Pasta Bake:

2 cups cooked pasta (penne, rotini, or rigatoni)

1 tbsp oil or butter

1 small onion, sliced thin

1 small green bell pepper, sliced

1 small red bell pepper, sliced

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 lb (450g) ground beef or thinly shaved steak

Salt and black pepper, to taste

½ tsp paprika

¼ tsp chili flakes (optional)

½ cup cream cheese

½ cup beef broth or milk

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded provolone or white cheddar

Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

Cook Pasta (8–10 min)

Boil pasta in salted water until al dente.

Drain and set aside.

Cook Beef and Veggies (10 min)

In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat.

Sauté sliced onions and peppers for 3–4 minutes until softened.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.

Add ground beef or shaved steak. Cook until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.

Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and optional chili flakes.

Stir in Worcestershire sauce, cream cheese, and beef broth (or milk). Cook until creamy.

Combine (2 min)

In a large bowl, mix cooked pasta, beef mixture, half the mozzarella, and half the provolone.

Transfer mixture to an oven-safe dish that fits your air fryer.

Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.

Air Fryer Baking (10–12 min)

Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.

Place the baking dish into the air fryer basket.

Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly on top.

Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

 If using an air fryer without bake function, cover with foil during the first 7 minutes, then uncover to melt cheese.
