Quesadilla in an Air Fryer
It takes less than ten minutes to prepare our Air Fryer Quesadilla recipe. A variation on Taco Bell’s quesadilla sauce, this chicken quesadilla is incredibly cheesy, saucy, and difficult to resist!
You’ve probably noticed that we have a slight obsession with Taco Bell if you’ve been following our recipes for a while.
I love to grab a quick lunch with them, even though I know it’s not cool to confess it. However, I even more enjoy making their recipes at home.
Ingredients
FOR THE SAUCE OF TACO BELL QUESADILLA:
- Two teaspoons of mayonnaise
- Two teaspoons of sour milk
- One tablespoon of diced pickled jalapenos
- One tablespoon of the pickled jalapeños’ juice
- Half a teaspoon of cumin
- Half a teaspoon of chili powder
- Half a teaspoon of salt
ABOUT THE QUESADILLA:
- Half a cup of cooked, shredded chicken
- Taco seasoning, two tablespoons
- Two flour tortillas, 8 inches
- Half a cup of Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- Half a cup of shredded cheese
Directions
HOW TO MAKE THE SAUCE:
- In a small bowl, add all the sauce ingredients and whisk to blend.
THE QUESADILLAS TO BE MADE:
- In a small bowl, combine the chicken and taco seasoning; toss to coat the meat.
- You won’t use all of the quesadilla sauce, so spread a tablespoon or two on half of each tortilla before adding Monterey jack cheese on top.
- Before adding the cheddar, scatter the chicken on top of the cheese.
- Place the tortillas in the basket of an air fryer after folding them tight. Apply cooking spray sparingly.
- Cook the tortillas in an air fryer set to 350 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes, turning them halfway through, or until they are as crisp and browned as you prefer.
- If preferred, serve with the additional sauce for dipping.
