Quick and Easy Chicken Wrap Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Chicken Marinade:
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 200g boneless chicken
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp dry coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- 1 tsp tandoori masala (optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup yogurt
For the Sauce:
- 2-3 tbsp mayonnaise
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- Fresh coriander, chopped
For Assembling:
- Tortillas
- Red cabbage
- Onion slices
- Tomato, julienned
- Lettuce
- Butter (for cooking)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix 1 tbsp oil, chopped garlic, boneless chicken pieces, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp dry coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chili flakes, 1 tsp tandoori masala (if using), and 1 tbsp lemon juice.
- Add 1 cup of yogurt to the chicken mixture. Mix well and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, prepare the sauce by mixing 2-3 tbsp of mayonnaise with salt to taste, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, and chopped fresh coriander. Set aside.
- Heat a pan with a little oil and cook the marinated chicken until it’s fully cooked and tender. Set aside.
- To assemble the wraps, warm the tortillas in a dry pan or skillet.
- Lay out a tortilla, spread a generous amount of the prepared sauce, add cooked chicken pieces, red cabbage, onion slices, julienned tomato, and lettuce.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly to form a wrap.
- Heat a little butter in a skillet and place the wrap seam-side down. Cook until it’s golden brown.
