Recipe for Boiled Rosemary with Castor Oil
Overview
Rosemary is well known for reducing inflammation, boosting blood flow, and fortifying hair roots. Conversely, castor oil is very nourishing and moisturizing due to its high content of fatty acids and vitamin E. When combined, they provide a potent mixture that can be applied to scalp nourishment, dandruff prevention, and hair growth.
Ingredients
One cup of water
A handful of fresh rosemary or two tablespoons of dried rosemary leaves
Cold-pressed castor oil, 3–4 tablespoons
One tablespoon of coconut oil (optional; used to thin castor oil)
Directions
Bring rosemary to a boil:
Fill a small pot with water and bring it to a boil.
After adding the rosemary leaves, simmer for ten to fifteen minutes, or until the water has become slightly reduced and fragrant.
Pour the liquid through a strainer:
Take off the heat and drain the rosemary leaves, reserving the water that has been infused with rosemary.
Add castor oil and stir:
Let the water with the rosemary get a little lukewarm, not hot.
Put the castor oil (and coconut oil, if using) in a bowl.
Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of the rosemary water and whisk slowly until thoroughly blended.
Storage:
The combination should be kept in a sterile glass bottle or jar.
Before using, give it a good shake because water and oil can separate.

To promote hair growth, massage the scalp for ten to fifteen minutes, then let it sit for at least an hour or overnight. Finally, wash it with a gentle shampoo.
