Recipe for Soberness
Components:
Regarding the caramel:
- One cup of sugar granules
- 1/4 cup of water
Regarding the Flan:
- One 14-ounce can of condensed milk with added sugar
- One 12-ounce can of evaporated milk
- Three huge eggs
- One tablespoon of vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Directions:
Prepare the caramel:
- Put the water and sugar in a saucepan. Swirl occasionally while heating over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and takes on the hue of amber. Take care to prevent it from burning.
- Pour the caramel quickly into individual ramekins or a round baking dish, tilting to evenly coat the bottom. Let it cool and solidify.
Get the Flan Mixture ready:
- Put the eggs, vanilla extract, salt, sweetened condensed milk, and evaporated milk in a blender. Blend until it’s smooth.
Pour the mixture.
- Cover the solidified caramel in the baking dish with the flan mixture.
In a water bath, bake:
- Set the oven temperature to 175°C (350°F). To create a water bath, place the flan dish in a larger baking pan and pour hot water into the outer pan.
- A knife put into the center of the flan should come out clean after baking it for 50 to 60 minutes.
Chill and serve:
- Once the flan has cooled to room temperature, remove it from the water bath. Next, chill for a minimum of four hours or overnight.
- To serve, flip onto a plate, run a knife around the sides, and pour the caramel sauce over the top.
Have fun!
This traditional dessert, flan, goes well with the laid-back vibe of soberness. Have a great time with your loved ones!
