Components:
- 2–3 large potatoes, thinly sliced and peeled
- 4–6 eggs
- One-fourth cup of milk
- An optional 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter;
- 1/2 teaspoon salt;
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper;
- optional garnish of fresh parsley or chives
Guidelines:
- Set the air fryer’s temperature to 375°F, or 190°C.
- Combine the eggs, milk, pepper, and salt in a bowl.
- Transfer the cut potatoes into the basin and whisk to evenly coat them with the egg mixture.
- Place the potato mixture in a single layer within the air fryer basket.
- Simmer the potatoes for ten to twelve minutes, or until they are soft and browned.
- In the final two minutes of boiling, add the shredded cheese, if using, to the potatoes while they are cooking.
- Take the potatoes out of the air fryer and drizzle some melted butter over them.
- Put the potatoes back in the air fryer basket and press four to six wells into them.
- Split open an egg in every well.
- Continue cooking for a further four to six minutes, or until the yolks are cooked to the desired consistency and the whites are set.
- Add parsley or chives as a garnish, if desired.
- Present heated and savour!
Advice:
- Use premium potatoes with a high starch content, such as Idaho or Russet potatoes.
- If required, cook in batches rather than packing the air fryer basket too full.
- Modify the cooking time according to the doneness of the eggs that you choose.
- To add more substance to the recipe, add diced veggies, bacon or gammon.
