 Prep Time: 15-20 minutes

 Cook Time: 8-10 minutes

 Total Time: 23-30 minutes

Rest Time: 5 minutes (before serving)

Ingredients:

1 can (415g) salmon, drained and flaked

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1 egg, beaten

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tbsp olive oil, for frying

Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine the salmon, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, lemon juice, parsley (if using), salt, and pepper.

Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Shape the mixture into patties, about 6-8 depending on your preferred size.

Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.

Add the patties to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.

Serve hot as a snack, with a fresh salad, dipping sauce, or your choice of side dishes.

Tips and Tricks

 Fresh Salmon:

Use fresh, high-quality salmon for the best flavor and texture.

 Don’t Overmix:

Mix the salmon mixture just until combined to avoid dense patties.

 Panko Breadcrumbs:

Use panko breadcrumbs for a lighter, crisper coating.

Don’t Overcook:

Cook the patties until they’re just cooked through to avoid dryness.
