Shells Stuffed with Tacos
Ingredients
- 12–15 large shells of pasta
- One pound of ground turkey or beef
- One packet of taco seasoning
- One cup of refried beans
- One cup of salsa
- One and a half cups of shredded cheese, either Mexican blend or cheddar
- Half a cup of optional sour cream
- chopped cilantro or green onions as a garnish
Directions
- Prepare the pasta shells by boiling the large shells as directed on the package until they are al dente. After draining, set away.
- Prepare the filling by browning the ground beef over medium heat in a skillet. Remove extra fat. Add half of the salsa, refried beans, and taco seasoning and stir. Cook for a few minutes after thoroughly mixing.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the stuff shells. Place the baked shells on a baking dish that has been oiled, then fill them with the beef mixture.
- Cover with Cheese and Salsa: Cover the packed shells with the leftover salsa and top with the cheese shreds.
- Bake: For 20 minutes, bake the dish covered with aluminum foil. After taking off the foil, bake for ten more minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and melted.
- Serve: Add cilantro, green onions, or sour cream as garnish. Have fun!
