Shells Stuffed with Tacos

Shells Stuffed with Tacos

Ingredients

  1. 12–15 large shells of pasta
  2. One pound of ground turkey or beef
  3. One packet of taco seasoning
  4. One cup of refried beans
  5. One cup of salsa
  6. One and a half cups of shredded cheese, either Mexican blend or cheddar
  7. Half a cup of optional sour cream
  8. chopped cilantro or green onions as a garnish

Directions

  • Prepare the pasta shells by boiling the large shells as directed on the package until they are al dente. After draining, set away.
  • Prepare the filling by browning the ground beef over medium heat in a skillet. Remove extra fat. Add half of the salsa, refried beans, and taco seasoning and stir. Cook for a few minutes after thoroughly mixing.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the stuff shells. Place the baked shells on a baking dish that has been oiled, then fill them with the beef mixture.
  • Cover with Cheese and Salsa: Cover the packed shells with the leftover salsa and top with the cheese shreds.
  • Bake: For 20 minutes, bake the dish covered with aluminum foil. After taking off the foil, bake for ten more minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and melted.
  • Serve: Add cilantro, green onions, or sour cream as garnish. Have fun!
