SHRIMP KABOBS AND EASY SAUSAGE AIR FRYER
The entire process of making these tasty and simple air fryer sausage and shrimp kabobs takes less than 15 minutes.
These shrimp and sausage kabobs in an air fryer are just as juicy and tasty as those on a grill, but they don’t require any cleanup! In addition to being more energy-efficient than an oven, using an air fryer helps preserve the meat’s natural juices.
Sausage and shrimp go really well together. The mix of Smokey sausage and succulent frozen Argentina red shrimp makes for a delicious entrée or buffet-style meal.
The natural flavors of the meat are enhanced while making sausage and shrimp kabobs in an air fryer. Because air fryers use hot air to cook, food cooks up rapidly, evenly, and keeps moisture. We’re done with dry kebabs!
Ingredients
- Slice 12 ounces of smoked sausage into ½-inch pieces.
- Twelve ounces of raw jumbo shrimp that have been deveined and skinned
- An olive oil-filled oil sprayer bottle
- One-half teaspoon of barbecue seasoning
- Six to eight bamboo skewers
Directions
- Using paper towels, pat dry the shrimp. Put the shrimp and sausage in a big basin, give it a few oil sprays, then add the BBQ seasoning and toss to mix.
- Thread the sausage slices onto skewers after tucking them into the shrimp’s curve.
- In the air fryer basket, arrange the sausage and shrimp skewers in a single layer. Cook at 350ºF for 4 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are thoroughly cooked. Serve right away. Have fun!
Observations
- Use any precooked sausage that you have on hand or prefer; if you’re using raw sausage, you might need to cook it beforehand.
- Before beginning the dish, ensure sure the frozen shrimp have thawed. They can be thawed in the refrigerator overnight or in cold water in the sink, with the water being changed every half an hour. Don’t use this recipe with cooked shrimp; it works best with raw shrimp.
- I used Trader Joe’s 101 BBQ seasoning for the BBQ seasoning. Use your favorite if you like.
