A delectable take on the traditional shrimp scampi dish, featuring shrimp seasoned with garlic butter, pasta that is soft, and a breadcrumb coating that is golden and crispy.
Ingredients:
For the Pasta:
- – 12 oz (340 g) linguine or spaghetti, cooked al dente
- – 1 tbsp (15 g) unsalted butter
- – 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
- – 4 garlic cloves, minced
For the Shrimp:
- – 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- – 1/2 tsp (2.5 g) salt
- – 1/4 tsp (1 g) black pepper
- – 1/4 tsp (1 g) red pepper flakes (optional)
For the Sauce:
- – 1/2 cup (120 ml) dry white wine or chicken broth
- – 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- – 1/2 cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- – 1/4 cup (10 g) fresh parsley, chopped
For the Topping:
- – 1/2 cup (60 g) breadcrumbs
- – 2 tbsp (15 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- – 2 tbsp (30 ml) melted butter
How to proceed:
Get the shrimp and pasta ready to eat.
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Prepare a baking dish measuring 9 inches by 13 inches (23 cm by 33 cm) with butter.
- An olive oil and butter mixture should be heated in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté the garlic for thirty seconds, or until it exudes a delicious aroma.
- Add salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if you’re using them) to the shrimp before cooking. When the shrimp are pink, add them to the skillet and cook them for one to two minutes on each side. Take out and put to the side.
Get the sauce ready.
- Put some white wine or chicken broth in the same skillet you did before. Simmer for one to two minutes to bring the liquid down somewhat. The heavy cream and Parmesan cheese should be stirred in. Cook for two to three minutes, or until the mixture has thickened.
Put together the Bake.
- After the pasta has been cooked, put it in the baking dish that has been prepared and toss it with the sauce. Place the shrimp that have been cooked on top.
Construct the topping.
- Mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and butter that has been melted together in a small basin. The mixture should be sprinkled over the shrimp and pasta in an even manner.
Baking
- For fifteen to twenty minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and crunchy, bake the dish.
Deliver
- A zesty touch can be achieved by garnishing the dish with fresh parsley and serving it with lemon wedges.
