Simple And Delicious Homemade Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 can 14.75 ounces beef broth (I use full-salt beef broth for this recipe)
  • 1 can 8 ounces tomato sauce w/ garlic, oregano, basil
  • 1 can 6 ounces tomato paste w/ Italian herbs
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 box 16 ounces thin spaghetti noodles

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with salt and pepper until it’s well-browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add Sauce Ingredients: To the same skillet, add the beef broth, tomato sauce, tomato paste, minced garlic, granulated sugar, and Italian seasoning. Stir everything together until well combined.
  3. Simmer: Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Let the sauce simmer for 45 minutes until it thickens and the color deepens to a rich red.
  4. Cook Spaghetti: About 10-15 minutes before the sauce is done, cook the spaghetti noodles according to the package instructions. Drain the noodles once cooked; do not rinse.
  5. Combine and Serve: Add the drained noodles directly into the sauce. Toss everything together to ensure the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce. Serve hot, and enjoy!
