Simple and Tasty Recipe for Homemade Pancakes
Components:
- One cup of all-purpose flour
- Two tablespoons of sugar
- Two tsp baking powder
- One egg, half a teaspoon of salt
- One cup of milk
- Two teaspoons of vegetable oil or melted butter
- One teaspoon of vanilla extract
Directions:
- To prepare the dry ingredients, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large basin and whisk to combine.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: Beat the egg in a another bowl. Pour in the milk, vanilla essence, and melted butter (or oil). Mix everything up thoroughly.
- Mixing Wet and Dry Ingredients: Add the wet mix to the dry mixture. Using a spoon or spatula, gently stir until just mixed. Take care not to combine too much! Some bumps are OK.
- Warm up the pan: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle to a medium temperature. Apply a thin layer of oil or butter. If you’re using a griddle, you can check the heat by lightly misting the surface with water; if it sizzles, the griddle is ready.
- Cook the Pancakes: Fill the pan with approximately 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake. Cook for two to three minutes, or until the pancake’s edges begin to solidify and bubbles appear on the surface. Cook for 1-2 more minutes after flipping, or until golden brown.
- Serve: Arrange the pancakes in a stack on a dish and top with your preferred ingredients, such as whipped cream, maple syrup, or fresh fruit, right away.
- Savor your delicious, fluffy pancakes!
