Simple Cheese Danish for Breakfast

Simple Cheese Danish for Breakfast

Components:

  1. Two cans of ready-to-use, chilled crescent rolls
  2. Two packages (8 ounces) of softened cream cheese
  3. One cup of sugar granules
  4. One teaspoon of vanilla extract
  5. One egg
  6. One egg white

Glaze:

  1. Half a cup of powdered sugar
  2. Two teaspoons of milk
  3. Half a teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions:

  • Set the Oven’s Temperature to 350°F (175°C). A 13 x 9-inch baking pan should be greased.
  • Get the Crescent Rolls ready: One crescent roll package should be unrolled and pressed into the bottom of the oiled pan, sealing the seams with a pinch.
  • Prepare the cheese filling. Cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract should all be combined in a bowl and beaten until smooth and creamy.
  • Put the Danish together: Evenly cover the crescent roll layer with the cream cheese mixture. Place the second crescent roll package on top of the cream cheese mixture after unrolling it. For a glossy finish, use the egg white to brush the top layer.
  • Bake: Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  • Make Glaze: To make the glaze, mix together the milk, vanilla essence, and powdered sugar while the Danish is cooling.

Drizzle the Danish with the glaze after letting it cool for about 20 minutes. Warm or room temperature, serve.
