Simple Muffin Recipe
Ingredients
- Two cups of all-purpose flour
- Half a cup of sugar, granulated
- One spoonful of baking powder
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- One cup of milk
- Half a cup of melted butter or vegetable oil
- Two huge eggs
- One teaspoon of vanilla extract
Optional Add-ons
- One cup of your preferred fruit, such as dried fruit, chopped almonds, blueberries, or chocolate chips.
Directions
- Preheat Oven: Set the oven temperature to 375°F, or 190°C. Grease or line a muffin tray with paper liners.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: Put the milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla essence in a separate bowl. Mix thoroughly with a whisk.
- Mix: Add the liquid components to the dry ones. Take care not to overmix; stir just until incorporated. At this point, fold in any mix-ins you may be using.
- Fill Muffin Tin: Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds of the way to the top with batter.
- Bake: Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the tops are brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool: After a few minutes of cooling in the pan, move the muffins to a wire rack to finish cooling.

- Add 1 cup of frozen or fresh blueberries to the blueberry muffins.
- Add 1 cup of chocolate chips and fold to make chocolate chip muffins.
- Banana Muffins: Add a little cinnamon and replace the sugar with 1 cup of mashed ripe bananas.
