Simple nibbles of cheesy sausage biscuits

Ingredients:

  1. 1 pound of sausage for breakfast
  2. One can of chilled biscuit dough (such as Pillsbury’s)
  3. One cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
  4. Garlic powder, onion powder, or your preferred spice herbs are optional.

Directions:

  • Set the Oven’s Temperature to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the Sausage: Brown and thoroughly cook the morning sausage in a pan over medium heat. After draining any extra oil, allow it to cool a little.
  • Get the biscuits ready: Separate the biscuit dough into individual biscuits by opening it. Using your hands, slightly flatten each biscuit.
  • Assemble: Fill the middle of each flattened biscuit with a dollop of the cooked sausage and a sprinkling of cheddar cheese. Pinch the biscuit shut after folding it over the filling.
  • Bake: Arrange the filled cookies on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake until golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Serve: Before serving, allow them to cool slightly. Savor your pieces of cheesy sausage!
