Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes
Components:
Four medium russet potatoes
Three tablespoons of olive oil
One teaspoon of powdered garlic
One teaspoon of powdered onion
One teaspoon of optional paprika
To taste, add salt and pepper.
Chopped fresh herbs, such as thyme or rosemary (optional)
Grated cheese (for garnish, if desired)
Directions:
Set the Oven’s Temperature to 425°F (220°C).
Prepare the potatoes by giving them a good wash and scrape. Although you can peel them if you’d like, the skin provides nutrients and flavor.
Cut the potatoes into thin rounds that are about 1/4 inch thick. To ensure consistent cooking, try to keep the slices uniform.
Toss the potato slices in a big basin with olive oil, paprika, onion and garlic powders, salt, and pepper until they are uniformly covered.
Arrange on Baking Sheet: To make cleanup easier, place the potato slices in a single layer on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Bake: Bake the potatoes in a preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, turning them halfway through, or until the edges are crispy and golden brown.
Optional Toppings: If desired, you can top with shredded cheese in the final minutes of baking. Put it back in the oven to melt the cheese.
When finished, take it out of the oven, add some fresh herbs if you’d like, and serve it hot!
These roasted potatoes, cut into slices, are a delicious snack or side dish. Have fun!
