Slow Cooker Chocolate Turtles
Ingredients:
For the Turtles:
- 4 cups pecans, chopped
- 32 ounces almond bark
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 6 ounces chocolate baking bar
- 24 ounces Rolo candies, unwrapped
- Sprinkles (optional)
First, get the slow cooker ready:
- To make cleaning easier, line your slow cooker with a big piece of parchment paper or use a slow cooker liner.
Arrange the Ingredients in Layers:
- Evenly distribute the chopped pecans around the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Layer the chocolate baking bar and almond bark on top of the nuts after breaking them into smaller pieces.
- Place the chocolate baking bar pieces and almond bark on top of the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Lastly, cover the chocolate layers with the unwrapped Rolo candies.
Prepare the turtles:
- Put the slow cooker on low heat with a lid on.
- Check often to make sure the chocolate is melting evenly while you cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
- After the chocolate has melted, carefully swirl the mixture to incorporate everything together.
Create the Turtles:
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture in tiny clusters onto a baking sheet coated with parchment using a spoon or cookie scoop.
- While the chocolate is still warm, top each cluster with sprinkles if you’d like.
Assemble the turtles:
- Give the chocolate turtles at least an hour to cool and solidify at room temperature, or place them in the refrigerator to set more quickly.
Serve:
- When the turtles are ready to be stored, move them to an airtight container.
