Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
Ingredients for 4 Cookies:
- 100g unsalted butter (7 tablespoons)
- 80g sugar (6 tablespoons)
- 1g salt (1/4 teaspoon)
- 1 egg
- Vanilla extract
- 160g flour (1 and 1/4 cups all-purpose)
- 3g baking powder (3/4 teaspoon)
- 100g chocolate chunks + 20g (3.5 ounces + 0.7 ounces)
- 50g chopped nuts (1/4 cup)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and a splash of vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until well combined.
- Stir in 100g of chocolate chunks and chopped nuts.
- Scoop out portions of cookie dough and place them on a baking sheet. Press the remaining 20g of chocolate chunks onto the tops.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 13 to 14 minutes, until the edges are golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack.
