Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients for 4 Cookies:
  • 100g unsalted butter (7 tablespoons)
  • 80g sugar (6 tablespoons)
  • 1g salt (1/4 teaspoon)
  • 1 egg
  • Vanilla extract
  • 160g flour (1 and 1/4 cups all-purpose)
  • 3g baking powder (3/4 teaspoon)
  • 100g chocolate chunks + 20g (3.5 ounces + 0.7 ounces)
  • 50g chopped nuts (1/4 cup)
👩‍🍳 Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and a splash of vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until well combined.
  6. Stir in 100g of chocolate chunks and chopped nuts.
  7. Scoop out portions of cookie dough and place them on a baking sheet. Press the remaining 20g of chocolate chunks onto the tops.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 13 to 14 minutes, until the edges are golden.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack.
