Softest and Most Delicious Burger Buns
Ingredients:
Buns:
- 3/4 cup lukewarm water
- 2 tblspns butter, at room temperature
- 1 large egg
- 3 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup normal white sugar
- 1 1/4 tspns fine salt
- 1 tblspn instant yeast
Topping:
- 1 egg with 1/4 cup water
- sesame seeds
Method:
- Add the water and yeast into a bowl. Mix and leave for about 5 minutes.
- Mix and knead all of the dough ingredients to make a soft, smooth dough. (including the water and yeast)
- Cover the dough, and let it rise for 1 to 2 hours.
- Gently deflate the dough, and divide it into 8 pieces. Shape each piece into a round ball. Place the buns on a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet, cover, and let it rise for about an hour, until noticeably puffy.
- Brush the buns with the beaten egg and water, sprinkle the sesame seeds onto the tops and bake the buns in a preheated 180°C oven for 15 to 18 minutes, until golden brown.
- Remove them from the oven.
- Cool the buns on a rack and enjoy your delicious burger bun !!!
