Southern Sweet Cornbread recipe
This golden treasure was found in Grandma’s recipe box. It was a cornbread that was so moist and sweet that it won over even the most adamant cornbread skeptics in our family.
Ingredients:
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1/4 cup honey
1 can (8.5 oz) cream style corn

Get the oven and the pan ready:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
Grease a cake pan or a cast iron skillet measuring 9 inches in diameter. – Place the pan in the oven that is preheating.
Combine the unwept ingredients:
Combine cornmeal and flour by whisking them together. – Add sugar, baking powder, and salt. – Mix until everything is thoroughly blended.
Mix together the liquid components:
Eggs should be beaten in a big bowl, milk, melted butter, and honey should be stirred in, and cream-style corn should be folded in.
Add the liquid ingredients to the dry mixture. – Stir until everything is incorporated.
Be sure to bake and serve:
Pour batter into greased pan – Bake for twenty-five to thirty minutes, or until golden brown – Use a toothpick to test the middle – Allow to cool for ten minutes
