Stir-fried Chinese Chicken Cabbage
Light and tasty Asian-inspired dish with crunchy cabbage, quick-stirred chicken, and savory seasonings!❤️
ingredients
- One pound of boneless chicken breast, cut into thin strips 🍗;
- one small Chinese cabbage, chopped into bite-sized pieces;
- two minced garlic cloves 🧄;
- one inch of peeled and grated ginger;
- two tablespoons of olive oil;
- two tablespoons of soy sauce;
- one tablespoon of oyster sauce;
- one tablespoon of cornstarch;
- one-fourth cup of water 🍶;
- and salt and pepper, to taste 🧂
Directions:
1. Combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water in a small bowl.
2. Put aside.
3. In a wok, heat the olive oil over high heat.
4. Stir-fry the ginger and garlic for 30 seconds, or until they are aromatic.
5. Cook the chicken strips for two to three minutes, or until they are browned.
6. Stir-fry the Chinese cabbage for a further two to three minutes, or until it has wilted but retained some crisp.
7. Add the sauce mixture and stir-fry for one more minute, or until the sauce has thickened and evenly coated the cabbage and chicken.
8. Serve hot over rice and season with salt and pepper to taste.
