Ingredients

250 ml warm milk (1 cup)
A pinch of salt
3 tbsp sugar (about 38 g)
1 tsp yeast
40 ml vegetable oil (about 3 tbsp)
1 egg
400-450 g flour (3 1/3 – 3 3/4 cups)
Butter for greasing
Extra sugar for topping (to taste)

Directions

Prepare the Dough:
In a bowl, mix warm milk, a pinch of salt, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently to activate the yeast.
Add vegetable oil and 1 whole egg. Mix well.
Gradually add flour until a medium-hard dough forms. Knead until smooth.

Let the Dough Rise:
Cover with a cloth and let rise in a warm place for 35 minutes.

Prepare the Mold:
Grease a 32 cm (12.5-inch) mold with softened butter.

Shape the Dough:
Transfer dough to the mold and spread evenly. Cover and let rise for another 20 minutes.

Top with Butter and Sugar:
Spread softened butter over the dough and sprinkle generously with sugar.

Bake the Pie:
Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F). Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown.

Final Touch:
Optionally, apply more softened butter after baking.

Serve:
Let cool slightly before slicing.
