Ingredients

Regarding the crust:

  1. 1½ cups of crumbs from graham crackers
  2. Half a cup of melted unsalted butter
  3. Half a cup of sugar

Regarding the filling:

  • 16 oz (2 packages) softened cream cheese
  • One cup of powdered sugar
  • One teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • One cup of thick whipping cream

Regarding the garnish:

  • One 21-ounce can of cherry pie filling (or, if desired, fresh cherries)

Directions

Prepare the crust:

  • In a bowl, thoroughly mix the sugar, melted butter, and graham cracker crumbs.
  • Fill a 9-inch springform pan with the mixture by pressing it into the bottom. Tightly pack it using the back of a measuring cup.
  • While the filling is being prepared, keep it chilled.

Get the filler ready:

  • Using an electric mixer, whip the softened cream cheese in a large bowl until it’s smooth.
  • Add the vanilla essence and powdered sugar gradually, stirring until well combined.
  • Beat the heavy cream in a separate bowl until firm peaks form.
  • The whipped cream should be gently folded into the cream cheese mixture until it is well mixed.

Put together:

  • Evenly cover the cold crust with the cream cheese filling.
  • Set in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (overnight is ideal if you can wait!).

Put the garnish on:
