**Ingredients :**
– 500 g of flour
– 1 tablespoon of sugar
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast
– 250 ml of lukewarm water
– 100 ml of lukewarm milk
– 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
– 100 ml of molasses
– 100 ml of water
– Toasted sesame seeds (optional)

**Instructions :**

1. **Preparation of the dough:**
– In a bowl, mix lukewarm water, lukewarm milk, sugar and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes until the mixture foams.
– In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and vegetable oil.
– Knead until you obtain a smooth and elastic dough (about 10 minutes).
– Cover the dough and leave to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, until it doubles in volume.

2. **Shaping simits:**
– Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
– Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a long rope and join the ends to form a ring.
– In a bowl, mix the molasses and water. Dip each ring in this mixture, then roll them in toasted sesame seeds (optional).

3. **Cooking:**
– Place the simits on a baking tray covered with parchment paper.
– Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
