Table of Contents

A zesty and refreshing marinade blending chili peppers, lime juice, garlic, and spices. Perfect for grilled meats, seafood, vegetables or fruits.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup fresh lime juice

1/4 cup olive oil

2 tablespoons chili powder

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

How to proceed:

A mixture of lime juice, olive oil, chili powder, honey, soy sauce, garlic, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper should be mixed together in a bowl using a wire whisk.

To achieve the desired level of sweetness or tanginess, add more honey or lime, depending on your preference, and taste the seasoning.

Pour the marinade over the protein of your choice (chicken, shrimp, pig, or tofu), and then place it in the refrigerator for at least half an hour, but better for two hours, to achieve the best possible flavor.

As you choose, you can grill, bake, or sauté the protein that has been marinated.

If you so desire, garnish with freshly chopped cilantro, and serve with tacos or side dishes that you enjoy the most.

It takes five minutes to prepare, thirty minutes to marinate, and thirty-five minutes to finish.
