Air Fryer Shrimp Fajitas Recipe
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’d know how obsessed I am with Air Fryer recipes (I just want to Air Fry everything!😁). Ever since I got an Air Fryer, I’ve been using it almost every day and this is the Air Fryer that I currently have and love.
And as so many of you tried my Air Fryer chicken fajitas recipe and left awesome reviews on the site and social media, I decided to share this shrimp version with you all! Ingredients
1 pound (450g) raw shrimp thawed
3 small mixed bell peppers sliced
1 small yellow onion sliced
1 tablespoon vegetable oil divided
1 tablespoon fajita seasoning divided
For Serving
4 tortillas
picot de gallon
1 avocado sliced
lime crema
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°F) for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, season the vegetables. Toss with half of the oil and half of the fajita seasoning. Add the vegetables to the Air Fryer basket and Air fry for 3 minutes.
As the vegetables are being air fried, season the shrimp with the rest of the oil and fajita seasoning.
When the 3 minutes are up, with a spatula move the vegetables to one side of the air fryer basket, and add the shrimp to the other half.
Air fry for 6 minutes at 375°F (190°F) flipping halfway through. Mix everything together and serve.
Assemble the fajitas over tortillas, and top with your favorite toppings (pico de gallo, guacamole or avocado slices, and lime crema).
Tips & Tricks
Use Fresh or Frozen Shrimp: If using frozen shrimp, thaw them first and pat them dry to avoid excess moisture.
Preheat Your Air Fryer: This ensures even cooking and crispy edges on the veggies.
Don’t Overcrowd the Basket: Spread everything in a single layer for even cooking.
Toss Halfway Through Cooking: Stir the shrimp and veggies halfway for even caramelization.
Use Corn or Flour Tortillas: Warm them up in the air fryer for 30 seconds at 350°F (175°C) for extra softness.
Customize the Heat: Add cayenne pepper or diced jalapeños for a spicier kick.
Drizzle with Lime Juice: Adds a fresh and tangy flavor to the fajitas.
