Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Mixing the Dry Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and garlic powder.
- Incorporating the Butter and Cheese:
- Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
- Adding the Liquid:
- Pour in the milk and stir until the dough just comes together. Be careful not to overmix.
- Forming the Biscuits:
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick.
- Using a sharp knife or biscuit cutter, cut the dough into squares or circles, about 2 inches in size.
- Baking:
